Condition

An elegant and distinctive expression of Cartier’s iconic Art Deco design, this Tank Basculante is presented in excellent original condition and features a rare dial configuration showcasing an unusually striking slate-grey “Windmill” motif, crisp white Arabic numerals and an inner minute rail track. The beautifully contrasting stainless-steel case features the signature vertically swivelling construction, allowing the watch to be reversed within its case, protecting the dial and revealing the clean, almost untouched reverse.

This particularly uncommon configuration is complemented by its original Cartier burgundy leather strap and original Cartier deployant buckle, retaining the character and authenticity of the watch as originally fitted. Accompanied by an original Cartier leather pouch in excellent condition.

The watch is running perfectly and keeping excellent time. The dial remains exceptionally clean, with only light signs of wear to the front of the case, while the reverse retains its original protective film.

Dial - The dial is in near-mint condition.

Case - The stainless steel main dial case and outer case remain in excellent condition, showing light wear. The reverse case is in brilliant condition, showing minimal and extremely fine signs of wear. 

Case back - The stainless steel outer case presents with all original brushwork and markings perfectly sharp and clear, with its original protective sticker still in place. The beautifully preserved case back is showing only very light wear.

Crown - The original crown is hidden on top of the swivelling dial, works perfectly in all its functions and remains in brilliant condition. 

Movement - The original Cartier quartz movement remains in fantastic condition and is working absolutely perfectly. 

Strap - This watch comes on its original burgundy Cartier strap and stainless steel deployant buckle, both of which are Cartier signed. The buckle remains in fantastic condition; the strap shows some wear but still presents beautifully on the wrist.

Crystal - The sapphire crystal remains in brilliant condition with no visible marks or wear.
