Condition

This is a fabulous vintage Must de Cartier Tank from the early 1980s, featuring an elegant black dial accented by silver-tone detailing, including the iconic Cartier chemin de fer minute track, Roman numerals with the hidden Cartier signature, and silver-tone sword hands. The gold-plated sterling silver (vermeil) case remains in fantastic condition, while the dial has developed a wonderful aged spidering. Powered by its original manual-wind movement, the watch is running excellently and keeping superb time.

Dial – The dial displays a beautiful, with attractive spidering and some small areas of chipping to the edges that add genuine vintage character. It remains highly presentable and complements the watch perfectly.

Case – The gold-plated sterling silver (925) case is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of wear consistent with its age.

Crown – The original fluted crown, set with its blue sapphire cabochon, functions perfectly in all positions.

Movement – The watch houses its original Cartier manual-wind movement, which is running excellently and keeping superb time.

Case Back – The original gold-plated sterling silver case back is in excellent condition and retains its correct engravings, with only mild signs of age and wear.

Strap – The watch is fitted to a high-quality red aftermarket leather strap, paired with its original Cartier pin buckle. The strap is in excellent, near-new condition, while the buckle displays some signs of age.

Crystal – The original mineral crystal is clear and presents well, showing only light surface wear visible under close inspection.

For a watch approaching 45 years of age, this Must de Cartier Tank remains in remarkable condition and is ready to be enjoyed.
