Description

We are pleased to offer for sale an exquisite and uncommon example of a vintage Cartier Panthère Ronde Vendôme "Joaillerie" in solid 18ct Yellow Gold. Dating from a narrow, highly collectable production window between 1988 and 1991, this high-jewelled reference features an elegant round case with stunning factory diamond enhancements. Powered by a reliable Cartier quartz movement, the watch is running very well and keeping excellent time within vintage specification.

• Factory Diamond Bezel & Diamond Crown: Reserved strictly for Cartier's premium "Joaillerie" (High Jewellery) tier. Rather than the traditional blue sapphire cabochon, the fluted winding crown features a brilliant-cut inverted diamond to perfectly complement the factory 20-diamond-set bezel.
• Period-Correct "SWISS" Only Dial: This watch features the rare and well-documented transitional dial printed simply with "SWISS" at the very bottom edge. In keeping with Cartier's precise manufacturing practices during this short 1988–1991 window, this specific factory dial variant intentionally omits the micro-printed hidden signature within the Roman numerals, making it a completely correct, untouched survivor.

Condition

Dial - The dial is in mint condition, completely original with crisp black printing.

Case - The solid 18ct gold case and 20-diamond-set bezel and lugs remain in exceptional condition, showing only very fine signs of wear. Diamonds are bright and securely factory-set. 

Crown - The crown with a larger inverted factory set diamond is fully original and works perfectly in all its functions.

Movement - This piece encases its original Cartier quartz movement which is working perfectly and keeping excellent time. 

Case back - The case back is in excellent condition and shows light signs of wear. All the markings, hallmarks and brushed finish are clear and original.

Strap - This Cartier comes on its original Cartier signed solid 18ct gold bracelet with the signature concealed Cartier folding clasp, which remains in excellent condition, showing light wear.

Crystal - The crystal is in mint condition.
