Condition

This is a stunning and highly versatile vintage Cartier Santos Vendôme, dating from the mid-1980s, beautifully combining stainless steel case and bracelet with solid 18ct yellow gold bezel, screws and a signed Cartier clasp. The crisp white dial features all of Cartier’s signature details, including the concealed Cartier signature discreetly incorporated within the Roman numerals, a minute track and elegant gold sword-shaped hands. Powered by its original Cartier quartz movement, the watch is in fantastic vintage condition and keeping excellent time, comfortably within the expected specification for a vintage quartz movement. It also comes in an original Cartier box.

Dial - The dial is in fantastic condition, showing little signs of age on closer look.

Case - The stainless steel case and solid 18ct gold bezel are in very nice condition, showing some common light scratches and wear.

Crown - The crown is fully original and works perfectly in all of its functions. The blue sapphire cabochon insert shows a common wear.

Movement - This piece encases its original Cartier quartz movement which is working perfectly and keeping excellent time. 

Case back - The case back is in brilliant condition and shows just light signs of wear. All the markings are clearly visible.

Strap - This watch sits on its original stainless steel and 18ct gold Cartier signed bracelet, which suits the watch perfectly and remains in very nice used condition, showing only very light wear.

Crystal - The original sapphire crystal remains in very nice condition, showing a scratch at 12 o'clock, which is visible only under certain light and angles.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
