Condition

This is a truly exceptional neo-vintage Tank Américaine made in much smaller numbers in the early 2000s, combining the elegance of Cartier with the extraordinary presence of a full factory-set diamond set 18ct white gold case. Unlike the more common plain gold or two-sided diamond setting, this exceptional example features diamonds encircling the watch completely, creating a continuous and uninterrupted line of brilliance and giving the timepiece an exceptionally luxurious presence from every angle.

The watch features a beautifully refined silver satin-finished dial, complemented by Cartier’s iconic blued-steel sword hands, minute railway track and classic Roman numerals, together with a discreet hidden Cartier signature. Beautifully finished throughout, the case is further adorned with a striking larger single inverted diamond-set crown.

Its elegant 19mm x 35mm proportions make it a remarkably versatile and sophisticated choice, equally suited to both a lady or gentleman’s wrist.

Inside, the Cartier quartz movement is running perfectly and keeping excellent time. The watch is presented on a high-quality pre-owned leather strap, secured by an original solid 18ct white gold Cartier-signed buckle.

Completing this exceptional presentation, the watch is accompanied by a large original Cartier presentation box.

Dial - Near-mint condition with a couple of tiny specks only visible under magnification. 

Case - The solid 18ct white gold case remains in very nice condition, showing mild signs of common wear. All factory-set diamonds are in fantastic condition, bright and clean.

Crown - The white gold and diamond crown is original, works perfectly in all its functions and remains in fantastic condition. 

Movement - This piece encases its original Cartier quartz movement which is working perfectly and keeping excellent time. 

Case back - The solid 18ct white gold case back is in excellent condition and shows only light wear. 

Strap - The watch has a high quality leather strap with an original, Cartier signed, solid 18ct white gold buckle. 

Crystal - The dial is in brilliant condition and looks pristine to the naked eye. Under magnification there is light wear on sides. 

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
