Condition

This is a truly stunning IWC with a timeless design from the early/mid-1970s featuring a solid 18ct gold case and case back with an awesome silver sunburst dial, baton indices below gold minute dots, complemented by a date complication, all of which are in fabulous and well preserved vintage condition. This watch comes in its IWC box. Mechanically, the watch is working perfectly, keeping excellent time. It is ready to be enjoyed for years to come by its new owner! 

Dial - The dial is in excellent condition for its age with only minor imperfections visible under magnification. 

Case - The solid 18ct gold case is in very good condition, showing just common signs of wear with scratches. 

Crown - The original Fish Crown is working perfectly in all its functions. The Fish Crown refers to a particular crown design used by IWC on its water-resistant watches between the 1950s and the early 1990s. The crown is easily identified by a small, engraved fish symbol—typically a stylised trout or similar—which served as a discreet indicator that the crown was water-resistant. Please note that we cannot guarantee water resistance due to the age of the watch. 

Movement - This watch is powered by its original IWC Automatic movement which is working well and keeping excellent time. 

Case back - The also solid 18ct gold case back is fully original and is in great condition, showing light wear. 

Strap - We have put this fantastic piece on a new leather strap which looks and feels amazing on the wrist.

Crystal - The acrylic crystal is in excellent condition, showing light scratches and imperfections under magnification only.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
