Condition

This incredibly stunning and rare Longines is a real find as most have the more common silvered dial, but this one has the rare black dial that is still in excellent condition and shows just the typical light and consistent oxidation. What of course makes this particularly striking are the gold tone twin faceted hour markers and Dauphine hands which work so well against the black dial. The front of the case has gold plate which gives the watch some added pop and aesthetically it is the perfect combination in our view. The watch is in excellent condition showing minimal signs of wear. The movement is working perfectly and is keeping brilliant time well within specification. Longines have more recently issued a heritage collection which are very similar in look to the vintage watches, but are of course substantially more in price. This lovely vintage example gives you the same look at a fraction of the price!

Dial - Black dial is in excellent condition showing light and consistent oxidation.

Case - The gold plated front of the case is in excellent condition with minor scratches as you expect of a watch of this age. The polished stainless steel back has a screw-down back and is in excellent condition with the Longines fish logo in the centre.

Crown - The crown is working perfectly in all of its functions.

Movement - This piece is powered by its original Longines movement which is working absolutely perfectly for a watch of this age!

Case back - The original case back is in lovely condition and shows minimal wear.

Strap - We have fitted a brand new leather strap.

Crystal - The acrylic crystal is in lovely condition and shows little to no signs of wear.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
