This is an absolutely spectacular and rare vintage Omega Constellation from the 1970s which is the top of the line for this range not only in an 18kt gold case, but also an 18kt gold dial and what a spectacular dial it is! Given that this was a rare reference in its day because of what it would have cost, it is a true collector's piece today and they are not often seen on the market. This piece features a beautiful linen effect dial cast in 18kt gold which combined with the 18kt fluted bezel makes the aesthetics of this watch absolutely outstanding. The watch displays a fully functional Day-Date complication. The watch is in perfect working order and is keeping excellent time, well within specification.
Dial - Near mint dial. There are some minor marks around no.4 baton when viewed under magnification. A really impressive dial.
Case - The case features a few light scratches that come with age. The brushwork on the front of the case is still clear and hasn't been polished away as often is the case. The fluted bezel sets this watch off perfectly. Overall the case is in superb condition.
Crown - This piece features its original Omega stamped crown which works nicely in all its functions. To change the time, pull the crown out once and rotate. To change the date, pull the crown out again and it will flick over. The day needs to be changed manually on this calibre.
Movement - This watch houses a fully functional 751 Automatic movement which is in perfect working order and is keeping excellent time, well within specification.
Case back - This piece features its original constellation stamped back case which is in great condition and shows light scratching and marks from tool use.
Strap - We have fitted a new leather strap.
Crystal - The original acrylic with the Omega logo in the centre is still present. It remains in excellent condition with no visible marks.
For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
