This super rare and fabulous Omega was designed by Andrew Grima who had won the De Beers Diamonds International Award (the Oscars of jewellery design) a record 11 times and, in 1969, was commissioned by Omega to create one of the most outrageous and daring watch collections ever made. Today Andrew Grima is recognised as one of the great modernist jewellery designers of the 20th century. His work can be seen in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. This particular piece from his Emeral Line features a roughly brushed gold dial which gives the dial some added sparkle providing a unique finish. This complements the simple design of fine baton indexes and hands sitting behind a chunky crystal, all encased in also large rectangular gold plated case. The watch is in fantastic condition and in brilliant mechanical order, keeping excellent time.

This truly is a real collector's piece for an incredible price!

Dial - Excellent, there are only handful of tiny spots visible only under magnification.

Case - The gold plated case is in very good condition showing signs of use commensurate with the age of the watch, namely dents on the sharp edges of the unusual design.

Crown - The original, Omega stamped crown is in great condition and works perfectly.

Movement - Working well and keeping good time.

Case back - Shows only very light signs of wear, commensurate with age.

Strap - We have put the watch on an aftermarket high quality leather strap which looks amazing and has a luxurious feel on a wrist.

Crystal - The crystal is in fantastic condition, showing extremely fine imperfection under magnification only.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in lovely condition and ready to wear!
