Condition

This is a stunning vintage Omega Geneve Automatic from 1970 with a large gold plated case and the fantastic and fascinating Shantung dial in gold colour featuring a date complication with black and gold faceted markers and hands. This piece is running very nicely and keeping great time within specification.

Dial - The dial on this piece is in really nice condition, looking fantastic. On close inspection, there is a lovely patina, showing this 1970's watch its vintage charm.

Case - The gold plated case is in very good condition for the watch’s age. There are a few common scratches and marks which don’t impact the overall look of this watch on your wrist. 

Crown - This piece has its original crown which shows some wear, including some plating loss, but changes the time and date perfectly. To change the time, the crown is pulled out to its first position and rotated. To change the date, the crown is pulled out to the second position and the date will flick over. 

Movement - The original Omega automatic 565 movement is in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. 

Case back - The case back is in excellent condition for its age. It is showing a few scratches from tools being used on the case back over the years.

Strap - We have put a new leather strap on this watch, which looks amazing. 

Crystal - The original, Omega signed crystal does have a few little imperfections. These are barely noticeable and don’t impact the overall look of this piece.
