Condition

This is an absolutely incredible vintage Omega Geneve Automatic which features a rare shantung style dial. This piece has been serviced recently and is functioning perfectly and keeping time within 10 seconds per day. This is well within the specification for vintage Omegas. This piece features an Omega 565 Automatic movement which is fully original and complete with a date complication. Although this piece’s box and papers have been unfortunately lost at some point during its live time, we will provide a leather presentation box with the watch. 

Dial - This model features an absolutely incredible and unique shantung style dial which is in pristine condition showing no visible flaws. 

Case - The stainless steel case is in great condition for its age showing light signs of wear from age. It is in more than presentable condition and looks great on your wrist! 

Crown - The crown is fully original and Omega stamped. To change the time, pull the crown out to its first setting and rotate anti clockwise to move the hands forwards. To change the date, pull the crown out to its second and final position and the date will flick over as you do this. 

Movement - This example has its original Omega 565 Automatic movement which is in superb condition both cosmetically and mechanically. As mentioned before, the movement has been recently serviced by the watch’s previous owner. The condition and movement health of this watch makes it clear that this piece has been kept very well during its years.  

Case back - The case back is original and in excellent condition for its age and is showing a few tool marks from when it has been opened. 

Strap - This watch sits on a beautiful stainless steel bracelet which is Omega stamped on the buckle. The bracelet seems to be an aftermarket replacement. This is also in pristine condition. 

Crystal - The acrylic crystal has some extremely light scratches that are almost invisible to the naked eye and barely noticeable even at close inspection. 

Overall, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
