Characterised by its distinctive features and a movement, this incredible Omega Geneve Chronostop from the late 1960s is a fantastic addition to your watch collection. This piece features a matte taupe dial, which, interestingly, is designed to include a chamfered edge with raised wedge-shaped baton indexes and alternating pattern markers. All those features together with the stainless steel cushion shaped case and brushed bezel make this watch truly stand out as you move it around on your wrist.
The manual wind, Calibre 865 movement, known for its precision, allows the bright orange centre seconds' hand to function as a timer for up to 1 minute, which is activated by the pusher at the top right of the watch. The movement is in fantastic condition both cosmetically and mechanically, the watch is keeping excellent time, well within specification.
Dial - The dial is in brilliant condition, with lume, hands and baton markers a bit aged, but, still, bright and sparkly for any vintage watch, let alone a watch from the 1960s!
Case - The case is in nice condition, showing some scratches. The brush work on the front and sides is still visible and adds to the charm of this watch.
Crown - The original, Omega signed crown is in perfect working order.
Movement - This piece is powered by its original Omega 865 Manual wind movement which is in perfect working order. The watch is keeping time well within vintage specification.
