Condition & History

This is an incredible and rare vintage Omega Seamaster "Soccer Timer" from 1969, one of the rarest Omega chronographs ever produced. The production of this watch had only lasted for a brief period, between the late 1960s and early 1970s making it a limited-edition timepiece. This watch also features the very high grade calibre 861 movement found in the Omega ‘Moonwatch’ which had been worn by the NASA astronauts during every moon landing in history, including Apollo 11 in 1969. Other features include the three black and red and white coloured sub dials and a striking, bright orange luminescent hand as well as the usual green lume on 5 minute indices. The sub dials had been specifically tailored to accurately measure the two 45 minute halves of a soccer match with the orange hand counting down the last seconds to the referee's whistle. This incredible watch is in overall fantastic condition, working flawlessly and keeping excellent time.

Dial - The dial is in lovely vintage condition and shows some signs of wear only under loupe. 

Case - The stainless steel case is in great condition and shows little wear throughout the years. 

Crown - This watch features its original Omega signed crown which works perfectly in all of its functions. 

Movement - The watch encases its original 861 manual wind Omega movement which is in both flawless cosmetic and mechanical condition. 

Case back - The original Omega case back is in great condition and features the famous Seamaster logo. 

Strap - We have put this unique watch on a high quality leather strap which suits this watch perfectly.

Crystal - The crystal is in mint condition.
