Condition

The Speedmaster Mark 2 is something of a departure from the original designs of the first series with a more bulky feel to the watch with its stainless steel tonneau-shaped case. It certainly has presence on the wrist with the 42mm case. Powered by the dependable manual wind Moonwatch era 861 Calibre movement, the watch certainly ticks the boxes. The combination of the brushed finish on the case with a matte black dial and luminous baton markers along with the chronograph sub dials gives this watch all of the DNA of the early era watches but with a slightly different look.  The watch is working perfectly in all its functions, keeping excellent time.

Dial - Excellent condition with no visible signs of wear or aging. All luminescence still working well although the luminescence on the minute hand is showing some wear and age,

Case - The case presents in excellent condition, the brushwork is still present although there are the usual scratches and wear which come with age.

Crown - The original, Omega signed crown is in excellent condition, maintaining all its original properties and functioning well in all positions. The pushers are also working as they should for the Chronograph functions.

Movement - The movement is performing exactly as it should, keeping good time.

Case back - The case back is preserved in good condition, showing the usual signs of wear that you would associate with a watch of this age.

Strap - The watch comes on a high quality leather strap.

Crystal - The crystal has some minor marks which are more visible in certain light.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to be worn and enjoyed!
