Description

This is an absolutely magnificent vintage 9K gold filled Omega Automatic from 1944 which is in a superb condition for its age! This scarce and rarely found watch features a beautifully preserved vintage dial with a crosshair sub seconds, leaf hands and an elegant combination of Arabic numerals and gold baton indices that have not lost their glint and sparkle.  Mechanically, this special time piece has just been serviced and is working perfectly, keeping excellent time within specification.

Condition

Dial - The dial is in beautiful vintage condition and shows only marks commensurate with its age and wear and visible mostly only on close inspection. These include plating loss most visibly on the minute hand and sub-seconds, some patination and general scratching with common minute loose particles which do not detract from the charm and sparkle of this watch.

Case - The polished gold filled case is in fantastic condition for its age and shows only minimal signs of wear.

Crown - The crown is original and Omega signed. It is working perfectly in all of its functions.

Movement - This watch is powered by its original 962 Automatic Bumper movement which has just been serviced and is working perfectly and keeping good time.

Case back - The 9K gold filled case back is original and is in good condition, showing some dents and usual very light common scratches.

Strap - This piece comes with a very high quality after market strap which has a luxurious feel on your wrist!

Crystal - The acrylic crystal is in excellent condition showing minor signs of age.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
