This is a timeless and highly collecable Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Ref. 16013 from 1981, presented in exceptional condition. The standout feature is the elusive matte taupe-brown “Havana” or “Tobacco” dial, featuring the rare configuration of contrasting white pad-printed text, which is highly prized by collectors for its subtle “Ghost dial” effect under certain angles and direct lighting.

Crafted in Rolex's iconic two-tone stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold Rolesor, the watch is complemented by a beautifully fluted 18ct yellow gold bezel and fitted with its original, matching two-tone Rolex Jubilee bracelet. The 36mm Oyster case provides the perfect balance of presence on the wrist and is equally suited to formal occasions or daily wear.

Powered by the renowned Rolex Calibre 3035 automatic movement, the Ref. 16013 features the convenient quick-set date function and is celebrated for its precision, reliability, and durability. Introduced in 1977, this reference remains one of the most sought-after vintage Datejust models among collectors and enthusiasts.

Presented in exceptional condition, this example retains its original character and remains in fantastic mechanical condition, keeping excellent time.

Dial – The fantastic dial is free from marks, displaying only subtle signs of age to the hands and an attractive, naturally aged “fried egg” tritium patina, creating a distinct circular chemical halo on the matte surface surrounding each hour plot. The large hand has had its tritium retouched at some point in the past.

Case – The stainless steel case and 18ct yellow gold fluted bezel are in brilliant condition, showing only minimal signs of wear.

Crown – The original Rolex 18ct yellow gold screw-down crown is in excellent condition and functions perfectly.

Movement – This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 3035 automatic movement, which is in brilliant working order and keeping excellent time. This watch comes fully serviced.

Case Back – The original case back retains all of its Rolex markings on the inner surface and shows very little sign of wear.

Bracelet – New leather strap - it suits the watch perfectly. 

Crystal – The original Rolex acrylic crystal with Cyclops magnifying lens is in excellent condition, showing only extremely fine wear visible under magnification.
