Condition 

This fantastic vintage Rolex Datejust Ref. 1603 was made in 1969, the same year that Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. A firm favourite among collectors, the Datejust epitomises Rolex’s timeless design and the technological innovation of its era.

Powered by the renowned Rolex calibre 1570 automatic movement, this watch is running smoothly and keeping excellent time. The classic black dial is presented beneath the original-style acrylic crystal, complete with Rolex’s iconic Cyclops magnifying lens over the date aperture. The dial and movement are housed in a stainless-steel case, finished with the distinctive engine-turned bezel characteristic of the reference.

This example retains all of its original Rolex parts together with its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet which is in fantastic condition considering its age. Although the watch is not accompanied by its original box and papers, its authenticity has been verified and an authenticity guarantee card will be provided.

Dial - Excellent condition, showing vintage signs of aging commensurate with the age of the watch on closer look. 

Case - This piece features a stainless steel case which is in fantastic condition and shows minor common signs of use as you would expect of a watch of this age.

Crown - The crown is its original Rolex screw down and is in excellent condition and works perfectly in all of its functions. 

Movement - This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 1570 automatic movement, which is flawless in every way and is keeping fantastic time for a watch of this age. 

Case back - The case back is original with all of its Rolex markings on the inner. It shows some signs of wear from use over its decades of life. 

Strap - The original Rolex Jubilee bracelet is in excellent used condition, showing common light wear and some flex.

Crystal - The watch features an acrylic crystal which was standard for Rolexes of this era. The crystal is in excellent vintage condition, showing common signs of wear!
