History 

This is a fantastic vintage Rolex Datejust Ref. 1603, a reference first introduced in 1959. This particular example dates to 1966 and features a 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with its signature engine-turned bezel, paired with its original Jubilee bracelet. The acrylic crystal incorporates Rolex's iconic Cyclops magnifier over the date display. The watch remains in lovely vintage condition, showing honest signs of age that reflect its history. Renowned for its elegance and reliability, the automatic movement is running perfectly within vintage specifications. The watch retains all of its original Rolex components, with the exception of the hands, which have been replaced at a later date with genuine Rolex service hands that are correct for this reference.

Dial - The sunburst dial is in excellent condition, no visible marks, only light signs of age commensurate with the age of the watch, which are visible under a loupe.

Case - This piece features a stainless steel case and bezel, which are in excellent condition and show common signs of light use over the decades. 

Crown - The crown is its original Rolex screw down and is in excellent condition and works perfectly in all of its functions. 

Movement - This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 1570 automatic movement which is working excellently in every way and is keeping fantastic time for a watch of this age. 

Case back - The case back is original with all of its Rolex markings on the inner. It shows some signs of wear from use over its decades of life. 

Strap - This watch comes on its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet, which is showing age and some flex, but remains beautiful with vintage charm.

Crystal - The watch features its original Cyclops acrylic crystal, which was standard for Rolexes of this era. The crystal is in excellent condition, showing light signs of wear visible under a loupe.
