Condition

This is an absolutely stunning vintage Rolex Datejust, reference 16030, dating from 1980. It features a timeless stainless steel case and bezel, complemented by a silver-tone sunburst dial beautifully contrasted by gold-tone baton indices and hands, along with a date complication viewed through the iconic Rolex Cyclops lens.

This piece remains in fantastic condition, showing only very light signs of wear. It is functioning correctly in all its functions and is keeping excellent time within specification. The Rolex Calibre 3035 was a next-generation movement introduced around 1977 and represented a significant advancement over its predecessor, the Calibre 1570. Its higher beat rate provided improved accuracy and a smoother sweep of the seconds hand.

The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet.

Dial – The dial is in fantastic condition, showing only a little age. One of the lume plots on the outer edge of the markers is missing.

Case – This piece features a stainless steel case with a stunning bezel, which remains in fantastic condition and shows only light signs of use.

Crown – The crown is the original Rolex screw-down crown. It is in excellent condition and works perfectly in all its functions.

Movement – This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 3035 automatic movement, which is running very well and keeping excellent time for a watch of this age.

Case back – The case back is original, with all of its Rolex markings present on the inside. It shows the common light signs of wear one would expect from decades of use.

Bracelet – The watch is fitted with its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet, which is in excellent condition and shows some flex, as would be expected of a bracelet of this age.

Crystal – The Rolex crystal wits Cyclops lens is in brilliant condition, with no visible wear to the main surface. There is some fine wear around the outer edges, visible only under magnification.
