Condition

This is an absolutely stunning vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust from 1968, featuring a silver tone sunburst dial enhanced by delicate brushwork along the dial’s outer edge where the minute markers are positioned at a subtle angle, adding depth and visual interest. Finishing touches include a magnifying cyclops lens for the date display and, adding a bit of luxury and interest, the Datejust's signature fluted bezel. The automatic movement is in fantastic both cosmetic and mechanical condition, working perfectly, well within specification. Although this piece does not have its original box and papers, it has had its authenticity verified and an authenticity guarantee card will be provided.

Dial - The dial with its sunburst design is in fantastic condition, hardly showing any wear or age. 

Case - This piece features a stainless steel case with a fluted bezel which are in fantastic condition and show very little signs of use and age. 

Crown - The crown is its original Rolex screw down and is in excellent condition, working perfectly in all its functions. 

Movement - This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 1570 automatic movement which is flawless in every way and is keeping fantastic time for a watch of this age. 

Case back - The case back is original with all of its Rolex markings on the inner. It shows light signs of wear from use over its decades of life. 

Strap - This piece comes on a high quality leather strap with a Rolex buckle, which suits the watch perfectly.

Crystal - The watch features an acrylic crystal which was standard for Rolexes of this era. The crystal is in excellent condition, only showing very little signs of wear on closer inspection.
