We are proud to offer for sale this absolutely breathtaking 14ct solid gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual from 1978. This exceptional timepiece features the extremely rare, warm, lighter brown “Havana” tobacco colour dial. Its stunning sunburst finish shifts beautifully between golden-brown and soft light brown tones and is further enhanced by elegant gold-tone baton hour markers as well as a date complication, magnified through the iconic Rolex Cyclops lens for effortless readability. 

Presented in remarkable condition for its age, this watch has been exceptionally well preserved. It is functioning perfectly in all respects and keeps excellent time, a true testament to Rolex craftsmanship. A rare opportunity to acquire a highly collectible and rare vintage Rolex with outstanding presence and character.

Dial - The dial is in fantastic vintage condition with wear around lume markers on top of gold indices, which gives it an extra interesting design. Overall, the dial looks absolutely stunning and clean. 

Case - The solid 14ct gold case with also gold fluted bezel are in spectacular condition showing only light signs of wear. 

Crown - The crown is its original Rolex screw down and is in excellent condition and works perfectly in all of its functions. 

Movement - This model houses its original Rolex Calibre 1570 automatic movement which is flawless in every way. The watch is keeping fantastic time for a watch of this age. 

Case back - The solid 14ct gold case back is original with all of its Rolex markings on the inner. It shows light signs of wear from use over its decades of life. 

Strap - We have put this watch on a new high quality leather strap which looks and feels amazing the wrist.

Crystal - The watch features an acrylic crystal which was standard for Rolexes of this era. The crystal is in fantastic condition showing little signs of wear on closer inspection.
