Condition

This Rolex Oyster Precision has a rather rare quartered herringbone sector dial combined with applied arabic and faceted dagger numerals. This is the typical Rolex look of the 1950s and is almost a take on the Art Deco period. The watch is in lovely patinated condition and is running perfectly with the movement being in exceptional mechanical order. This one comes with a plethora of paperwork including the original Watches of Switzerland Guarantee from 1957 along with the Rolex At Your Service Booklet. There are numerous invoices relating to services and repairs from 1959 onwards.

Dial - Nice condition. Showing light signs of age with some patina marks spread across the dial. 

Case - The case is in nice condition and shows signs of use. 

Crown - The crown is its original Rolex signed screw down and is in excellent condition as well as works perfectly in all its functions. 

Movement - This piece encases its original 1210 Rolex manual wind movement which again is in perfect working condition. To wind the watch the crown is unscrewed and pulled out ever so slightly and rotated clockwise. Please don’t force the winding of the watch. It becomes evident when the watch is fully wound as you will feel resistance. Do not try to wind past this point. 

Case back - The case back is original with all of its Rolex markings on the inner. It shows some signs of wear from use over its decades of life. 

Bracelet - We have put this watch on a high quality leather strap which suits this beautiful piece perfectly!

Crystal - Near mint condition.
