Condition

This is an incredible and one of a handful of Seiko Hi-Beat Automatics surviving from the 1974 featuring an incredible, large TV shape stainless steel case with a stunning navy blue dial. What makes this fantastic watch super rare is the dial which is stamped with a bright red seal of Khanjar Wa Sayfain - the national emblem of Oman, which is displayed through a horizontally multi-faceted crystal, showing off the dial beautifully. The watch also features a fully functional Spanish/English day-date complication and keeps excellent time. The watch itself including its original bracelet is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of wear and would make a fantastic and interesting piece to any watch collection.

History

The khanjar remains a vital part of Omani identity and is worn by men during formal and ceremonial occasions. The seal appears on many official items. A Royal Decree issued in 2004 provides legal protection for the emblem, forbidding its desecration or destruction and requiring official authorization for its use on merchandise.
