Condition

We present to you this super example of a vintage Tudor Oyster automatic wind from 1964/65. This model features a stunning brushed circular dial combining coffin and baton hours markers. The watch has a Rolex crown and caseback which are fully original to the watch. This vintage piece has just been serviced and is keeping outstanding time and is running perfectly. 

Dial - The spectacular brushed circular dial is in superb condition with no marks visible to the naked eye. You need a loupe to see a few minute marks which are present.

Hands - This watch has impressive Dauphine hands, which is an elegant type of watch hand style introduced in the 1930s. The hands do have some minor oxidation which is not unusual for a watch of this age.

Case - The case is in great condition for its age showing just a few minor signs of use. There are a few scratches on the bezel. This really is a very presentable example! 

Crown - The Rolex signed wind down crown is fully original and works perfectly in all of its functions. To wind the watch you will need turn the crown anti-clockwise until it pops out to its winding position where you can then wind it in a clockwise drirection. To change the time, pull out the crown to its last setting. You can then return the crown to its original position by applying some light pressure and turn the crown clockwise until it has screwed back against the case.

Movement - This piece is powered by its original Tudor movement which is working perfectly following a recent service.

Case Back - The original Rolex case back is in good condition showing some signs of wear. It also bears an inscription which gives the watch some unique history.

Strap - This piece has been put on a brand new replacement strap. 

Crystal - The acrylic crystal is in great condition and shows minimal wear. 

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
