History 

The Tudor Oyster Princess line was introduced as Tudor’s elegant counterpart to the men’s Prince collection, designed by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf to offer ladies a refined yet robust everyday timepiece. Much like its male counterpart, the "Princess" line combined structural components shared directly with its parent company, including the pioneering, waterproof Rolex Oyster Case and crown. Over the decades, the line evolved from classic, dainty dress watches like this early 1960s steel reference into sportier variants like the Tudor Princess Oysterdate and the highly collectible Princess Date Submariner dive watch.

Condition

This is a lovely and wearable example of an important early Tudor Oyster ladies’ model, featuring a gold-tone dial with baton hour markers, decorative arrow-tipped indices, and elegant leaf hands. The original stainless steel Oyster case, signed “Original Oyster Case by Rolex Geneva,” with its original Rolex signed crown is presented in beautiful, charming vintage condition and is fitted with its original leather strap and buckle. The Tudor Auto-Princess movement is running strongly and keeping time well within expectations for a vintage watch.

Please note: although this watch was originally designed as water resistant, due to its age we cannot guarantee water resistance.

Dial - The dial is charming vintage condition, showing light signs of age.

Case - The stainless steel Rolex Oyster Princess case is in excellent vintage condition, showing common wear.

Crown - The original, Rolex signed crown is in perfect working condition, showing little age. 

Movement - This piece is powered by an original Tudor Auto-Princess movement, which is working perfectly and keeping excellent time within vintage specification. 

Case Back - The original Rolex signed case back is in nice vintage condition, showing some wear.

Crystal - The crystal is in good vintage condition and shows common wear.

Strap - The original, unsigned leather strap is in good vintage condition, showing wear.
