Condition

A superb and increasingly rare pre-war ladies’ Tudor/Rolex manual-wind wristwatch, made by Rolex Geneva in the late 1930s and presented in its original solid 9ct gold Rolex case, accompanied by a 12ct gold-plated bracelet. This special piece is offered in stunning, well-preserved vintage condition throughout. The original silver sunburst dial, complemented by gilt Arabic numerals and indices, is particularly beautiful as the watch catches and reflects the light.

Accompanying the watch is its original clamshell presentation box, featuring the Tudor Rose emblem and Rolex markings. The box itself is a rare find and remains in exceptional condition considering its age. The watch has been fully serviced, and its original movement is running strongly and keeping time well within expected vintage specifications for a manual-wind watch. A truly elegant and collectible example of classic Tudor/Rolex craftsmanship, seldom found complete with its original presentation box and in such well-preserved condition.

Dial – The original dial is in stunning vintage condition, proudly displaying natural signs of age and only minor wear, mostly visible under magnification.

Case – The original 9ct gold case is in fantastic condition for its age, showing only light signs of vintage wear.

Crown – The period crown is in excellent working order and excellent vintage cosmetic condition.

Movement – This piece is powered by its original Tudor movement, which is running strongly and keeping excellent time within expected vintage specifications. The watch has been fully serviced.

Case Back – The original Rolex-signed 9ct gold case back is in excellent vintage condition, showing only light signs of wear.

Crystal – The original acrylic crystal is in excellent condition, with only minor wear visible under magnification.

Bracelet – The original 12ct gold-plated stretch bracelet is in excellent, well-preserved condition. It complements the watch beautifully while remaining practical and comfortable to wear.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear. A particularly special example, made even more desirable by the presence of its original presentation box.
