Description

This elegant Universal Geneve Unisonic is a stunning unisex watch featuring a beautifully cushion-shaped stainless steel case paired with an attractive silver-tone dial. The dial is enhanced by distinctive hour and minute markers, cut-end hands and a practical date display, creating a fantastic and timeless 1970s look. The highly uncommon and desirable Universal Geneve Calibre 48 decorated tuning fork movement represents a fascinating chapter in horological history. This electronic movement uses a vibrating tuning fork to regulate timekeeping, producing the characteristic smooth sweeping seconds hand and distinctive humming sound for which tuning fork watches are renowned. Unlike many contemporary electronic movements, Universal Geneve finished the Calibre 48 to a notably high standard, with decorative detailing that reflects the brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Condition

Dial - Near-mint condition, showing only tiny imperfections related to the age of the watch, which are only visible under a loupe. The dial looks absolutely brilliant.

Case - Brilliant condition - the stainless steel case displays its original brushwork perfectly and shows only very light signs of wear.

Crown - The crown is fully original and Universal stamped. It works perfectly in all of its functions and remains in excellent condition. 

Movement - The watch encases its rare original Universal Geneve Calibre 48 decorated tuning-fork movement with 13 jewels, which is working excellently. 

Case back - The original case back is in excellent condition, showing light common signs of wear.

Strap - The watch is presented on a period-correct Blome leather strap fitted with a Universal Geneve signed buckle, which remain in incredible condition matching the fantastic condition of the watch itself.

Crystal - Mint condition.

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
