Description

This is a stunning and elegant vintage Universal Genève White Shadow ladies’ quartz dress watch, produced during the 1980s. This particular model represents a transitional era for Universal Genève, combining the ultra-thin design originally championed by Gérald Genta with precise Swiss quartz technology. Its standout feature is the tonneau-shaped case, with 18ct gold detailing along the sides that accentuates its unusually slim and interesting profile. The watch is elegantly complemented by its original, Universal signed bracelet. Presented in fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition, the watch is working very well and keeping excellent time within vintage specifications.

Condition

Dial - exceptional condition, showing only tiny imperfections on sides with little age on hands, which are only visible under a loupe.

Case - Exceptional condition - the stainless steel case with 18ct gold detailing shows only minimal signs of careful wear.

Crown - The gold crown is working perfectly in all of its functions and remains in excellent condition. 

Movement - The watch encases its original Universal Geneve Quartz movement, which is working very well, keeping excellent time. 

Case back - The original case back is in fantastic condition, showing only minimal signs of wear.

Strap - The watch is presented on its original bracelet with a Universal Geneve signed buckle, which remain in incredible condition matching the fantastic condition of the watch itself.

Crystal - Mint condition, no visible wear.
