This is a distinctive example of late-1980s designer luxury; a vintage Yves Saint Laurent quartz dress watch, manufactured by Citizen Watch Co. for the Japanese domestic market and originally sold on 2nd June 1989. Featuring a stylish 31mm case with an elegant gold-plated, fluted bezel, the watch showcases a crisp white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, slender hands and the iconic YSL signature. Powered by a reliable Citizen quartz movement, the watch is presented in excellent working order and remains in remarkably well-preserved, almost new condition. 

A particularly desirable feature is its provenance, the watch is accompanied by its original Yves Saint Laurent presentation box and Japanese paperwork dated 2nd June 1989, confirming its original sale in Japan. The trap is an aftermarket replacement. Combining French fashion-house elegance with renowned Japanese watchmaking quality, this is a rare and highly collectible vintage timepiece, ideal for collectors of designer watches, Japanese domestic-market pieces, or anyone seeking a sophisticated unisex classic from the golden era of 1980s luxury design.

Condition

Dial: The dial is in mint condition.

Case: The gold plated bezel case is in outstanding condition for its age, showing only very minimal signs of wear.

Back Case: The original back case is in brilliant condition, with its protective sticker still attached and showing only very minimal signs of wear.

Crown: The original gold plated crown works perfectly in all its functions and remains in excellent condition.

Crystal: The mineral crystal is in near-mint condition, no visible wear.

Bracelet: The black aftermarket strap is in new unworn condition and suits the watch perfectly.
